Joy Mabe Lewis, RNC, WHNP

Joy was awarded her nursing diploma from Richmond Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in 1974 and her Obstetric/Gynecologic Nurse Practitioner certificate from the Medical College of Virginia in 1979. She completed her undergraduate degree from Virginia Commonwealth University in 1990. Ms. Lewis is licensed and certified as a Women's Health Care Nurse Practitioner. She has experience working in obstetrics, gynecology, and newborn nursery in a hospital setting, as well as experince in home health and nursing management. She also served as a nurse practitioner for the Virginia Department of Health.

As a nurse practitioner with Commonwealth Physicians for Women, her responsibilities include conducting initial prenatal visits, participation in normal and high-risk prenatal care, preventive and problem gynecological care for females of all ages.
