Cheryl B. Cooper, RNC, WHNP

Cheryl was awarded her nursing diploma from Community Hospital of Roanoke Valley School of Nursing in 1971, and her Obstetric/Gynecology Nurse Practitioner certificate from the Medical College of Virginia in 1981. Ms. Cooper is licensed and certified as a Women’s Health Care Nurse Practitioner. She has experience working in Obstetrics and Gynecology in a private practice, as well as supervisory and charge nurse experience in the Operating Room in a hospital setting. Ms. Cooper also has experience as a Childbirth Education Instructor with the American Red Cross, and as a Lamaze Instructor.

As a nurse practitioner with Commonwealth Physicians for Women, PC, her responsibilities include conducting initial prenatal visits, participation in normal and high-risk prenatal care, preventive and problem gynecological care for females of all ages
